Outlet Fichajes today highlights Chelsea’s interest in Paris Saint Germain winger Xavi Simons.

The 20-year-old is currently having a loan spell at RB Leipzig, and is off to a great start with three goals and four assists in Bundesliga so far.

The report claims Chelsea are ‘closely monitoring’ Simons’ development, as they’ve ‘set their sights’ on him ahead of the upcoming transfer windows.

It’s said the winger fits perfectly into the profile the Blues have been looking for, as they want young talents who can turn into their ‘backbone’ in the future.

PSG are expected to consider ‘substantial offers’ for the player once he returns from his loan at RB Leipzig, and that’s why several European sides are watching the situation.

Fichajes claims that besides Chelsea, the likes of Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all attentive to him as well.

It’s not said how much would be enough to sign him from the French side. Simons is valued by Transfermarkt at €60m, and has a long contract with PSG running until 2027.
