With Romelu Lukaku looking closer and closer to a permanent move to Inter Milan as long as Chelsea lower their demands a little bit, the Blues will need a new striker.
That’s something they’ve been working on for a while, and the name that keeps coming back is Dusan Vlahovic, whom Juventus are happy to sell at the right price.
Gazzetta dello Sport cover the situation on Wednesday, and explain that those in charge of transfer at the Turin side are in London, undergoing another ‘blitz’.
Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna avere the two on the plane, and will be having ‘various appointments’ with clubs , including Chelsea.
It’s said ‘increasingly frequent’ contacts between the two clubs have been taking place for Vlahovic, with the Blues ‘serious’ about signing the Serbia international.
Regarding the price of Vlahovic, Juventus aren’t planning to ‘make any discounts’ and will not accept ‘less than €60-70m’ for their star striker, and that’s excluding bonuses.
They know other clubs are interested, especially if the Harry Kane deal takes off and starts the big summer striker domino effect.
At this point ‘anything can happen’, but this trip should clarify a few things for Chelsea and Juventus alike.
