The front page of Monday’s edition of Sport has Ousmane Dembele plastered across the front page, with the headline saying it’s now time for the Frenchman to make the final decision about his future.

His Barcelona contract expires at the end of June, and inside Sport state the club have given him a ‘ultimatum’. They want to know his decision now. In reality there’s been claims of ultimatums for over a year, and Dembele clearly hasn’t listened to any of them so there’s no indication he’ll rush now.

Chelsea are one of the clubs who have been most strongly linked with the player, and that’s partly to do with their manager Thomas Tuchel. The Blues boss worked with Dembele at Borussia Dortmund and it’s expected they could have success together at Stamford Bridge.

Sport say for Chelsea it’s not a case of Dembele or Raheem Sterling, and the club could choose to sign both players for Tuchel.

Chelsea are said to have sent a ‘firm proposal’ to sign the attacker as a free agent, and Dembele’s entourage consider it to be a good one.

Now it’s just a case of waiting to see what the player decides.

Liverpool are also linked, although Sport say that information comes from the English media.
