Cesc Fabregas made it pretty clear at the weekend that he’s on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge and whilst a transfer to AS Monaco is considered close, L’Equipe point out again that it’s not all agreed yet.
In their Sunday edition the French newspaper explained Chelsea have been looking to get €10m for the Spaniard, and Monaco have been trying to bring that figure down.
They say similar in their Monday edition, with L’Equipe stating the Ligue 1 side are ‘not yet in agreement’ with Chelsea over the transfer fee.
With Fabregas there’s agreement on a two and a half year contract after a meeting was held on Sunday evening in the French principality. There’s thought to be no issues on personal terms, but nothing can be completed until the Premier League club are also pleased with the terms on offer.
L’Equipe say that Chelsea are looking to bring a replacement in for Fabregas, which would see one in and one of the club’s squad. The insinuation is they want that done quickly, although it’s not stated it must be done before Fabregas’ exit.
