Liam Rosenior met with Strasbourg chairman Marc Keller and sporting director David Weir today amid speculation over a move to Chelsea.
That’s according to L’Equipe. They cover the manager today as he continues to be linked with a move to Chelsea this week.
Rosenior is the leading candidate to replace Enzo Maresca after his surprise departure from Chelsea this week. He is currently in charge of Strasbourg, another club in the Blue Co stable.
He’s been impressing with them and was quickly named as the favourite to replace Maresca when he departed. He is also the bookies favourite at this moment in time.
L’Equipe now report that Rosenior met with Strasbourg’s chairman and sporting director today. According to their information, the Chelsea rumours are ‘causing considerable unrest’ within the Alsatian club.
They are trying to maintain a sense of normalcy and no concrete preparations have been made as yet. That’s despite Rosenior meeting with the club’s leadership today.
He has also taken training this morning, although whether that was before or after the meeting isn’t clear. A press conference is scheduled for 2pm, but that is simply the pre-match press conference for the match against Nice. He will ‘undoubtedly’ be asked about Chelsea during that.
