If you look at all the rumours currently circulating in the Italian media, then Chelsea and Juventus are going to do a lot of talking to each other in the next couple of months.

First there’s the whole Miralem Pjanić – Jorginho swap possibility, followed by the interest from the Turin side in Emerson Palmieri, and then we finish it all off by the fact Maurizio Sarri wouldn’t mind working with Pedro again.

For that latter of the lot, it’s not really got anything to do with Chelsea, as the Spaniard is going to be a free agent and is able to talk to whomever he pleases, so we’ll be focusing on the left-back today.

We’d talk about the midfielder situation, but Corriere dello Sport’s Tuesday edition merely repeat what has already been said, so it’s not worth covering in detail.

What is, however, is what’s happened in the past when it comes to Emerson Palmieri.

According to Corriere, Chelsea value their left-back at around €40m, while Juventus refuse to go over €25-30m for him, as they deem the Blues’ figure ‘too high’.

That means a middle ground will need to be found, and the Italian newspaper reckon one way to do this would be with players.

It’s explained Juventus have already offered Mattia De Sciglio to Chelsea, but the Premier League club ‘refused’ that option.

Instead, they would much rather have Alex Sandro, who was a target of theirs a while back, and it’s suggested the track could ‘reopen’ in the presence of an ‘adequate offer’ (the Serie A side see him as being worth €40-50m).

So, Emerson Palmieri and a little bit of cash on top for the former Porto man?
