A month ago, FcInterNews explained Chelsea’s interest to sign André Onana has been ‘indirectly filtered’ to the Inter Milan goalkeeper and he may be open to idea of joining the west London club in the summer.
The Serie A side are looking to bring in a new stopper in the summer and have identified Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario as the target.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who state Vicario can already imagine replacing Onana at the San Siro. That’s because the latter has generated interest from Chelsea.
The newspaper further adds the west London club will hold a meeting for the 27-year-old, which is ‘considered imminent’ in Milan.
Chelsea’s interest in the former Ajax man has see Inter to monitor various profiles, including that of Vicario, to replace Onana.
Simone Inzaghi’s side took Onana for free last summer and value him at €40m.
If they decide to sell him after this season, Inter would make a rich capital gain through this operation, which in turn could be a great signing for Chelsea to sort out their goalkeeping situation once and for all.
