With the Champions League dream now gone, it’s time for Inter Milan to see a more intense chase for their players.
One of them is goalkeeper André Onana, who’s known to have been a Chelsea target for months now.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato today writes about his situation, and actually brings interesting information regarding the Blues’ pursuit.
According to their report, Chelsea are in ‘pole position’ to sign Onana from Inter Milan this summer.
It’s pointed out that the Blues can ‘invest large sums without any fear’, but in this case they’re actually keen on involving two players in this potential deal.
One of them is Romelu Lukaku, who could have his loan at Inter Milan renewed. And the other is Kalidou Koulibaly, who after a less than impressive season at Stamford Bridge, could head back to Italy.
The Nerazzurri had been requesting €40m (higher figures have been reported elsewhere) to let Onana go, but Chelsea seem to be working to get those numbers reduced with those stars on the table.
Even though Manchester City are also said to be interested in the goalkeeper, Calcio Mercato makes it clear it’s the London side who lead the race.
