Italian website Calcio Mercato today has an interesting story about Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri.
They say the player has a ‘choice’ to make about his future, since he has the opportunity to renew his contract with the Blues or flirt with Juventus’ interest in him.
It’s claimed that Chelsea are offering Palmeri, who has a contract until 2022, a deal to expire in 2024. Since he likes the club, he’s considering it.
But Juventus are said to be following the situation, since they’ve been interested in him for a long time now. Palmieri is not only liked by club director Fabio Paratici, but also by Maurizio Sarri, who managed him at the Stamford Bridge last season.
For now, Calcio Mercato makes it sound like the player is more tempted to take a new deal at Chelsea than move to Juventus. But the Old Lady have already proven they can take players from big clubs, so the Blues better watch out.
