Finally, the word has arrived from Italy that Christian Pulisic will be an AC Milan player next season and will leave Chelsea once and for all.
The USA international was widely touted to follow in the footsteps of Ruben Loftus-Cheek by swapping Stamford Bridge for the San Siro, but negotiations took longer than expected.
The Serie A side were trying to lowball Chelsea, who stood firm, and Gianluca Di Marzio brings the latest on the situation.
The journalist, taking to his website, explains the player already ‘had an agreement’ with the Serie A side, who ‘filed the final details’ with the Blues to finally close the deal.
It’s believed that Milan will pay Chelsea €20m + bonuses for the American, and also ‘defined the amount and number of bonuses’.
The Italians can now ‘organise the arrival’ of the forward, who will travel to Milan to undergo his compulsory medical and then sign the contract that will tie him to his new club for the foreseeable future.
Pulisic will be leaving Chelsea four years after arriving from Dortmund for €64m.
