Chelsea and Atalanta have found an agreement for the permanent transfer of Croatian midfielder Mario Pašalić, according to reports.
Newspaper Tuttosport writes today that the Italian side’s CEO Luca Percassi has reached a deal with Chelsea official Marina Granovskaia on Wednesday.
Pasalic is now set to complete the move for €15m, which is the amount set when the loan spell was agreed back in 2018.
The 25-year-old has become an important player for Atalanta in the past couple of years and his signing is a reason for the club to celebrate. He has seven goals and seven assists in 32 appearances for the club this season.
Signed by Chelsea on a €2.5m deal from Hajduk Split in 2015, Pašalić had loan spells at Elche, Monaco, Milan, Spartak Moscow before finally finding some continuity and stability in Bergamo.
He will now be a part of the long list of players who belonged to Chelsea for years, but never had the chance of making a single appearance for the Stamford Bridge side.
