Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic would ‘gladly accept’ a move to AC Milan in January, should it be proposed to him as part of the Blues’ efforts to sign Rafa Leao.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say the Italian side have had the American on their radar for some time.
Chelsea were keen on Milan star Leao throughout the summer transfer window but could not get a deal over the line, with the Serie A champions reluctant to sell one of their star men unless it was for a huge deal.
They remain determined to secure his signature, though, with a big move in the January transfer window anticipated.
That would be an awkward time for Milan to sell but Gazzetta say the answer to the problem could be Pulisic.
They explain that he has been put on the transfer list at Stamford Bridge, after falling down the pecking order under former manager Thomas Tuchel.
He is ‘appreciated’ by the Rossoneri club, and the 24-year-old would ‘gladly accept’ the move given the lack of playing time on offer in London.
He could therefore be a replacement for Leao, thus making AC Milan more open to a sale and the ‘solution’ to the problem of selling the Portuguese star mid-season.
It’s a deal that could suit both parties and the player, so keep an eye out for it developing in the coming months.
