Destined to leave Chelsea this summer, Tiemoué Bakayoko is waiting patiently for something to come of the talks between the Blues and Milan.

The Frenchman has become a target for the Serie A side once again, who haven’t forgotten how well he played for them during his 2018-19 loan from Stamford Bridge, but they aren’t willing to overpay for him either.

The idea of a loan with a view to buy remains the favourite, but for that to happen, Chelsea would need to extend his contract by a year, which SportMediaset, relayed by Pianeta Milan, state is already done.

It’s explained the Blues ‘have taken advantage of the unilateral clause for a renewal’, which is ‘for this reason he could move back on loan’.

What helps Milan on top of this is the fact that Bakayoko has ‘explicitly requested’ he be sent to the Serie A side, with talks of this nature emerging during the finalisation of the Olivier Giroud transfer.

If all this is true, then we could have a third transfer between the two sides this year following the purchase of Fikayo Tomori and the expected arrival of the aforementioned French striker.
