Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei has chosen to join Leicester City on loan this summer, complying with the Blues wishes for him.
That’s according to journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who says the player wants to play in the Championship and has turned down an opportunity to temporarily return to Italy.
A report earlier today made it clear that Chelsea wanted to keep Casadei in England this summer, preferring to loan him out in the Championship than elsewhere.
He explains that the Foxes were the first club that had looked to sign the 20-year-old this summer and despite Genoa trying hard to sign him, and some claims in Italy saying he was keen, he’s rejected that possibility.
Casadei seemingly fancies a year in the second division and the chance to help Leicester fight for an immediate return to the Premier League this season. It’s now up to them to finalise a deal with Chelsea for the loan.
