Chelsea are named as one of the ‘four serious prospects’ to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, according to SportBild.
The midfielder’s current deal expires in 2025 and it doesn’t include any release clause. The Bundesliga side are looking to offer him a new improved deal.
BVB improved his salary from €3.5m to €6m per year in 2021 and it would be possible for them to further raise it to €15m annually. The England international could collect around €20m per year from his suitors, which includes Chelsea.
It’s explained a price tag of €150m is considered ‘realistic’ and ‘Chelsea could pay it’ to bring the player to Stamford Bridge.
Furthermore, it’s revealed that the Blues owner, Todd Boedhly, ‘has made contact’ with Bellingham’s environment, his father, Mark Bellingham, and agent, Mark Bennett.
Apart from Chelsea, the report states that Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are also Bellingham’s contenders.
The 19-year-old boasts nine goals and two assists in 19 games in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund this season.
