Earlier on Monday, we covered reports from Italy which said Juventus would try to include Dusan Vlahovic in a deal to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.
With the Old Lady struggling to reach the Blues’ €40m request, they’d try an alternative way to convince the Stamford Bridge side.
It turns out that as Gianluca Di Marzio now shares his information on this case, he claims Chelsea ‘opened up’ to that scenario.
It’s said the Blues are now interested in the idea, and even though there’s no agreement so far, that’s undoubtedly a huge development for the situation.
That’s something also reported by Turin outlet Tuttosport. They claim there’s been this ‘sensational breakthrough’ in the talks between clubs.
Now what needs to be understood is that it’s not Juventus who’d put Vlahovic on the table plus some cash. It’s actually the other way around.
The Bianconeri believe they need to sell their striker for at least €60m, and nothing less than that. So Chelsea would have to send them Lukaku plus compensation in cash.
That’s why the situation is complicated, and there’s no agreement for now.
