Over the past couple of days, the Italian media has been full of stories regarding Chelsea’s interest in Inter Milan midfielder Cesare Casadei.
Initially, it was claimed the Blues first placed an offer worth €8m for the youngster, and were still to make an improved bid to convince the Nerazzurri.
Foot Mercato now bring their take, and have a little more to say about Chelsea’s interest.
Foot Mercato claims the meeting was held to find ‘a contractual agreement’, as if Chelsea already had permission from Inter Milan to discuss personally the player, or were doing so anyway.
All the outlet adds about a potential move is that Casadei ‘could leave’ the Nerazzurri ‘by the end of the transfer window’. The player has indeed been heavily linked to a departure, including to other Serie A clubs, with whom Inter would negotiate a right to buy him back.
