Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has less than two days to figure out his next move, having put in a transfer request at the Italian side, with no solution to his situation in sight.
Chelsea’s last incoming in the summer transfer window could be a striker and Osimhen’s name has been repeatedly linked with the Blues recently.
They’ve come forward for the striker now but those attempts have ended in failure.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that all things point towards the fact that Chelsea will not land the Nigeria star. Even though the possibility of him joining Al-Ahli has been denied by those close to Osimhen, it is an option for him.
Chelsea made an offer to Napoli that was quite close to the €70m that Al-Ahli had put forward.
The problem arose when it came to Osimhen’s wage demands, which are said to be €10m per season. That is why Chelsea’s wage offer was considered ‘unsatisfactory’ and the move has now broken down once again.
The move to Saudi Arabia has become quite a prominent option, as other choices fade away for the ex-Lille man.
