Porto star Alex Telles continues to get many stories in the Portuguese media. The difference between the outlets is whether they choose to pick Chelsea or Paris Saint Germain for their headlines.

The English and the French side have been heavily linked to the left-back lately, and there’s quite some confidence that the player will be leaving the Dragons in the next transfer window.

Newspaper A Bola today chooses to give more attention to the interest from the Blues. It actually sounds like they’re taking claims from the British media, as they say the Stamford Bridge side are giving up on the signing of Ben Chilwell.

It’s said the Leicester City player would cost up to €90m, and the alternative option, which is Alex Telles, could be bought for less than half of that price.

Even though outlets such as Record and O Jogo say today that Telles would only leave for the amount of his €40m release clause, A Bola says €30m would be enough for a deal, especially if paid before the 30th of June, since Porto need the money for their accounts of the current financial year.

A Bola claims that Chelsea had tried to sign Telles on a €20m deal in January 2018. But both Porto and the player weren’t keen on the transfer at the time, especially because the Brazilian wanted to win a title with the Dragons.

Now he’s said to be more eager to make the move. And since his contract expires in 2021, Porto don’t have many options but selling him now.
