Chelsea must ‘watch out’ for Tottenham Hotspur in their pursuit of Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who say the Netherlands international’s admirers in the Premier League are growing even though he ‘hasn’t taken off yet’ at the World Cup.
It’s claimed Chelsea are now joined by Tottenham in the chase to sign the 26-year-old in the winter market.
Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty are the right wing-backs at Antonio Conte’s disposal and it’s thought Antonio Conte isn’t impressed. This is where Dumfries comes into the picture as his profile is interesting for the north London club.
The Dutchman is the one considered as the ‘most transferable’ by the Nerazzurri owners and their technical leaders have set a starting price tag of €30m. Elsewhere, €40m has been mentioned.
Over at Calciomercato, they discuss the former PSV Eindhoven man’s future. It’s claimed both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are ‘pushing’ to take Dumfries away from the San Siro in January.
Inter, for now, have not denied the possibility of selling the player. Having invested €9m to sign him, the Italian club want to make at least €25/30m in capital gain from his sale.
Therefore, Chelsea, Tottenham or any other club interested in Dumfries must pay no less than €35/40m.
