Chelsea and Manchester United both had scouts at the Champions League between Porto and Krasnodar in Portugal this Tuesday.
It’s local newspaper A Bola who reports the list of scouts, saying the Blues and Red Devils ‘led the English army’ of clubs who are already looking for January targets.
It was quite a disappointing night for Porto. After a 3-3 draw in Russia, they now lost 3-2 at home, and got knocked out of the tournament.
But this is the kind of game where new stars emerge, and perhaps Krasnodar’s heroic win showed a lot for Chelsea and United to see.
Zé Luís and Luiz Dias were the two Porto players whose efforts were almost enough to keep them in the competition. For the away side, the goals scored by Tonny Vilhena and Shapi Suleymanov gave the Russian club the qualification.
The game also attracted scouts from Manchester City, Everton, Southampton, Watford, Bournemouth, Leicester City, Milan, Atalanta, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, Saint Etienne, Montpellier, Rennes, Olympiacos.
