Kepa Arrizabalaga will be sold by Chelsea this summer, with the chances of another loan deal away from the club ‘listed as zero’.
That’s according to Inter Live, who believe Inter Milan could be an ideal destination for him in the summer transfer window.
They outline how a possible €15m proposal could be on the way from Chelsea to Inter regarding the player in the coming months as they look to sell off players and balance the books.
Inter aren’t in need of a new number one at this point as Yann Sommer has impressed since arriving last year but they may need to find competition for him as number Emil Audero is only on loan from Sampdoria.
Inter want to get that deal extended into a second year but if they can’t they plan to look elsewhere and could spend €15-20m on goalkeeper Bento from Athletico Paranaense.
The alternative option could be Kepa, though, who is set to return to Chelsea from a loan deal at Real Madrid in the summer also.
He had been the number one there but has been ousted and Chelsea now need to find a new destination for him.
They want to sell and are happy to do so for a figure of €15-20m and the belief is that the Blues, or indeed his agents, may offer him to Inter knowing they’re looking for a number two.
The chance of a new loan being sanctioned is ‘listed as zero’ because his contract runs out in 2025, meaning he would be available on a free next year and Chelsea want to avoid that.
Ultimately, it all depends on what happens with Audero, but he’s seen as an idea to be explored nonetheless.
