Despite being loaned out to Milan for two years, Chelsea’s Tiemoué Bakayoko will not be staying in Italy when the season ends, and could even end the deal early and head elsewhere.
He has yet to feature under Stefano Pioli this campaign, and the Serie A side have been working to try and find him a landing spot on the Blues’ behalf.
A few clubs in Turkey have made their interests known, but it appears the Chelsea man isn’t overly keen on moving that far south.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who have a report on a few Milan situations, including that of the Frenchman on Wednesday.
They state that while the ‘offers from Turkey are important’, it’s the Chelsea midfielder himself who ‘stalls’ on deciding his future in January.
Corriere explain the player ‘would like to reach the natural deadline’ of his contract with Milan in June, when his loan will end.
While the Italians have ‘given the all-clear’ for him to leave, the ‘choice is up to him’, and it appears he wants to stay where he is, either because a move to Turkey doesn’t appeal to him or he hasn’t given up on hopes of convincing Pioli to play him.
