AC Milan could be eyeing a double deal with Chelsea for forward Armando Broja and Hakim Ziyech, particularly if Rafa Leao were to move to Stamford Bridge.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who cover the Blues duo today and the Italian side’s interest in them.
They explain that the ‘relations are excellent’ with Chelsea and Milan are looking to take advantage of that to bolster their forward line.
The Serie A side ‘could make important moves’ to reinforce the attack between January and the next summer market in June but everything revolves around Leao.
There is still a distinct possibility he could leave for a significant sum in January and if that does happen, the Rossoneri will have to look for a player that is ‘already ready’.
They would be able to do so as they would have a different budget than usual, and they have already begun ‘sounding out’ the willingness of several players.
A loan has not yet been ruled out while a loan with right or an outright purchase in the summer are also being considered. Chelsea value him at €30m.
Talks with the Blues on the subject are ‘good’ as the relationship there is ‘excellent’ and there is a belief that a ‘profitable synergy’ could be established in the coming months.
That has also led to the possibility of signing Ziyech, who Chelsea and Milan spoke about during the summer before the Italian side went for a younger profile in Charles de Ketelaere.
The Moroccan has continued to struggle since that point and a loan deal in January is now seen as ‘feasible’, although the player would have to give up a part of his wages for that to happen.
At the moment Milan’s focus is on renewals of their current first team stars but plans are already underway for transfers and Chelsea look likely to be heavily involved.
