Last month, we covered claims from Argentina that Boca Juniors are worried about Chelsea’s interest in Milton Delgado.

On November 1st, El Intransigente reported Inter Miami are battling with Chelsea to sign the 20-year-old. They also stated Boca Juniors are expecting to receive offers for him in the winter market.

TyC Sports bring the latest on Chelsea and Inter Miami interest in Delgado.

Neither of the two have made formal contact with the Argentine club for the defensive midfielder. However, ‘alarm bells are ringing at Boca Juniors’ because Chelsea and Inter Miami have contacted his agent.

It’s claimed the Blues and the MLS side have expressed their interest with the agent. The approach was also made to find out the Argentina U20 international’s availability, probably for January.

Delgado starred for his country at the recently concluded U20 World Cup. Since returning to his club last month, he’s had regular minutes and impressed for Boca Juniors.

Therefore, TyC Sports reports the South American club will only let him leave if there’s an ‘irresistible offer’.

Chelsea and Inter Miami may not have to negotiate with Boca Juniors. Delgado has a $20m [€17.3m] clause and the Blues or another club can activate it by reaching an agreement with the player.

The release clause is certainly affordable for Chelsea. For now, they have only registered their interest with Delagado’s agent.
