If there’s one area of the pitch that Thomas Tuchel is desperate to bolster at Chelsea, it’s the centre-back position.

The German has not hidden the fact he would like a bit more talent in the role, and despite signing Thiago Silva up for a bit longer, there is a desire for a new body.

Most would have expected it to be someone on the younger side, with the likes of Jules Koundé often sent to Stamford Bridge, but when the chance to bring in someone like Sergio Ramos comes along, it could be too good to pass up.

That’s what El Chiringuito are hinting at on Wednesday, with it claimed that Chelsea are among four clubs to have made an offer for the Spanish defender.

Juanfe Sanz Perez is the journalist with the information, claiming that Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and the Blues have all put a contract offer on the table for the veteran.

The general consensus by the reporter, however, is that Ramos is likely to either to the French capital, where he is almost guaranteed to win a trophy, with Lille unlikely to repeat their surprise season, or Manchester City.

That means Chelsea might have some work to do if they want to convince him to move to Stamford Bridge instead.
