Yesterday, we covered Charly Musonda’s problematic loan to Real Betis, and things have taken another turn for the worse as the player is once again returning to London due to a knee injury.
According to the Spanish club’s director of football, Miguel Torrecilla, relayed by Mundo Deportivo, the young forward woke up on Thursday morning with pain in his knee, which has led the team to decide Chelsea’s medical staff should look at it again.
The 20-year-old has barely played for the La Liga outfit since his move in the summer, making only eight appearances, and starting just the one time, in a 1-0 win over Malaga back in September.
Torrecilla also explained that if Antonio Conte and the Chelsea staff decided it was best for the player to recover in London, the loan could be cancelled, something the Spanish side would prefer not to happen.
Real Betis, currently 14th in La Liga, have recently changed manager, sacking Gustavo Poyet and replacing the Uruguayan with Victor Sanchez on the 12th of November.
