Turning his season around after a terrible start, Tiemoue Bakayoko has long been touted as being a priority for Milan this summer.

Loaned from Chelsea for the season, the France international can be bought at any time for €35m, although the Serie A side would have to qualify for the Champions League to be able to afford him.

However, his recent antics before and after the game against Lazio didn’t go down too well in Italy, and the midfielder appears to have shot himself in the foot a little bit more by turning up to training an hour late on Wednesday.

As you can imagine, this behaviour didn’t go down too well with Gennaro Gattuso, who decided to punish his entire squad with a five day retreat in order to set things straight.

Clearly feeling he was losing control, the manager will now try and ensure his beloved club end up in Serie A’s top four, and will do so by any means necessary.

Perhaps unfortunately for Chelsea, according to Calciomercato, Bakayoko’s behaviour might have cost him a transfer, as the last thing the club will want is a troublemaker in their ranks next year regardless of whether or not Gattuso is still in charge.

One to keep an eye on.
