Cheslea are ‘keeping an eye’ on Dilane Bakwa’s performances at Strasbourg, which are earning the 22-year-old admirers around Europe.
That’s according to Fussball Transfers, who report that Chelsea could face competition from Eintracht Frankfurt for the winger.
They report that Frankfurt could be facing something of a busy summer as they need to replace Omar Marmoush and could lose Hugo Ekitike and Hugo Larsson as well in the coming months.
They’ll have plenty of money to do so as Marmoush already brought in €80m, Ekitike could bring in the same and Larsson is valued at €60m. Sporting director Markus Krosche is already on the case and Dilane Bakwa is a name on his list.
A recent report in Switzerland insisted that a deal is there to be done, with Strasbourg wanting €30m for their rising talent.
Their relationship with Chelsea could get in the way, though. The French side are also owned by Blue Co, with several Chelsea youngsters currently at the club on loan to develop.
That close relationship means the Blues are also ‘keeping an eye on Bakwa’ as they continue to try and scoop up talent from around the world under their American owners.
They could easily compete with Frankfurt for the winger if they wished to do so, with Fussball Transfers labelling them as ‘extremely wealthy’.
They’ll need to move quickly, though, with the German side keen and hoping to get him tied up before the U21 European Championships start this summer.
