Marc Cucurella’s decision to join Getafe on loan from Barcelona has paid off as he has featured regularly in the league. The left-back has a goal and four assists in 26 starts in the La Liga.

The 21-year-old’s impressive displays have caught attention from several clubs in Spain and across Europe, according to La Razón.

It’s claimed Chelsea and Napoli have joined Tottenham, Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach in chasing the defender.

Getafe have an option to make the player’s transfer permanent for €6m. Reports coming out of Spain are indicating the La Liga side will exercise the option and he will have a new release clause set at €25m.

Barcelona will earn 40 percent of the fee from Cucurella’s future sale, meaning they will pocket €10m if Getafe cash in on him.

La Razón states the Blues have joined the race for the Barcelona owned fullback, who will have an option to either continue in La Liga or make a switch to another league.

The interest he has aroused from the English league ‘stands out’ as Frank Lampard, José Mourinho and Mikel Arteta are keen on acquiring Cucurella’s services for their respective clubs.

However, La Razón doesn’t make it clear which club is leading the race to acquire Cucurella’s signature.
