Bayern Munich would not be interested in a swap for Kingsley Coman involving Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic, as it would be akin to swapping “a Ferrari for a Fiat”.
That’s according to SportBILD journalist Christian Falk, who has revealed Bayern’s reception to the rumour regarding a potential deal for the pair.
FCB Inside cover his comments on the Bayern Insider podcast today following a report in France that stated Chelsea were keen on a deal for Coman.
Their plan was to make a bid for the French star and potentially include Pulisic as part of the deal to try and bring down the price.
Falk, though, says Bayern would not be interested in such an offer as “they are very, very happy with Coman” at this moment in time.
They reacted to this rumour with a “weary smile” according to the journalist, who says they wouldn’t accept such an offer even if Chelsea were to put up extra money.
He says no one would want to sanction such a deal as it would be the same as “swapping a Ferrari for a Fiat”.
Those in charge in Munich are “very, very satisfied” with Coman and his performances and his contract extension at the beginning of 2022 was seen as a sign of his commitment to the club as well.
This appears to be a deal that won’t be happening any time soon then, and Chelsea may be best suited to looking elsewhere for the offensive reinforcements they apparently want in January.
