Chelsea have closely followed the South American market for years, investing in multiple young talents.
The Blues continue to keep a close watch and have added Boca Juniors’ Dylan Gorosito to their radar.
That’s according to El Intransigente, who report Chelsea are showing interest in the 19-year-old.
Gorosito climbed through the ranks of the Argentine club’s youth system and made his first team debut in July 2024. However, he’s had to settle for regular minutes with the youth team.
The right-back featured regularly for Argentina at the U20 World Cup, which they lost to eventual winners Morocco in October. The outlet say he was a key player for his country while it has been ‘difficult’ for him at Boca Juniors.
That hasn’t stopped him from attracting ‘strong interest’ from the Blues and this has left the South American club concerned. They seem to fear that Chelsea could snatch the fullback.
Boca Juniors’ Lucas Blondel could move elsewhere, and his exit improves Gorosito’s chances of featuring regularly for the first them. They would use this to convince him to continue at the club.
The possibility Gorosito’s camp could be using Chelsea via the local media to put pressure on his club can’t be ruled out.
