On Sunday, we covered a report from Italy that Chelsea had allegedly made a bid for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
The article, from Calciomercato, claimed the Premier League club had offered €10m + John Obi Mikel to the Serie A club to try and convince them to let their midfielder go.
This, in truth, shouldn’t be too hard considering Inter Milan are trying to sell Marcelo Brozovic before the end of the transfer window, but Mikel just doesn’t interest them.
As for Chelsea wanting to sign the Croatia international, this has been backed up by Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday, who say Antonio Conte has enquired about the midfielder’s availability.
They do not mention an offer, or John Obi Mikel for that matter, but they do make it clear the London side, alongside West Ham and Leicester City, are keen on the midfielder.
The 23-year-old made 35 appearances for Inter Milan last season, scoring seven goals and picking up five assists in the process.
