On Tuesday of last week, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio stated Napoli star Victor Osimhen’s desire is to make a switch to England, where he prefers to join either Chelsea or Arsenal.
For the past few weeks, the Italian media have discussed the interest shown by the Blues and Paris Saint-Germain.
Sky Italia, relayed by NapoliCalcio24, state the 25-year-old prefers the Premier League over PSG, and Chelsea are keen.
Recent claims have stated Napoli want to appoint Juventus director Giovanni Manna as their next sporting director. His appointment hasn’t been made official yet, but the report reveals he has been working behind the scenes.
It’s claimed Manna is talking with Chelsea to work out whether there are ‘margins to close the negotiations’ for Osimhen, by including Romelu Lukaku as part of the possible deal.
The 31-year-old Belgian has been at AS Roma since last summer and prior to that, Manna tried bringing him to Juve. Osimhen’s asking price is between €120m and €130m and the Blues could lower the fee by sending Lukaku to Napoli.
