Chelsea could look to sign a new striker this summer after allowing Romelu Lukaku to return to Inter Milan on a loan deal.

Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski has been identified as a target for Chelsea. Bild journalist Christian Falk now states the Premier League side and Paris Saint-Germain are ‘highly interested’ in the 33-year-old.

A move to the west London club or Paris may not be possible because the former Borussia Dortmund man, for now, ‘refuses to negotiate’ with these two clubs.

The Poland international has less than 12 months left on his contract and has decided not to sign a new deal with the Bavarian club.

Barcelona have firm interest in the frontman’s services and he is keen to make a switch to the Camp Nou. This is holding up interest from Chelsea and PSG.

Meanwhile, Lewandowski has returned to his club for pre-season training. Bild state the player arrived late to training for the third-day in a row on Friday. He was supposed to be at Bayern’s facilities at 9am, but the Pole arrived eight minutes late. The suggestion is this could be a way to show the German side he’s not all that keen on them.
