Bayern Munich have already withdrawn a renewal proposal for David Alaba and with a contract expiring at the end of this season, the defender has been linked to several European clubs.

Chelsea have been one of those, and AS provided their take on the 28-year-old on Monday.

It was explained the Blues are confident the offer they are going to make will put them in pole position for the Austria international.

Sky Deutschland have looked at these claims and have provided an update, after contacting both the versatile player’s camp and the Premier League side.

It’s claimed the current Bayern star has ‘no plans to talk’ to Frank Lampard’s side in January.

In addition to this, those in charge at Stamford Bridge have informed Sky Deutschland that Alaba, who can operate as a left-back or centre-back, is not a transfer target for them. In other words, Chelsea have ‘no interest’ in signing him.

According to the report, the English side are happy with their defence following the additions of Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell in the summer.
