It’s starting to look like Chelsea’s chase for the Brazilian winger Bernard will not have a happy ending.
As reported by Premium Sport journalist Anderson Marques on Thursday, the player and his agents are now optimistic that he’s moving to AC Milan instead.
The transfer is said to be a dream from Bernard’s father, who always wanted his kid to play for the Rossoneri one day.
It’s claimed that the move is only waiting for a response from the club’s new director Leonardo, who’s coincidentally also Brazilian.
The journalist states Chelsea are waiting for Bernard’s answer until Tuesday. As the transfer window closes next Thursday, that would give the Blues time to move on to another option should the answer be no.
With the report also claiming that there’s no offer from Inter Milan, it looks like a battle between Chelsea and Milan only. Bernard, who left Shakhtar Donetsk at the end of his contract this summer, is free to sign for any of them.
