At this point, everyone and their mother knows that Chelsea are interest in André Onana, and there’s a good reason for that.

The Blues are currently unsure about who their long-term goalkeeper should be, as Kepa Arrizabalaga is back in the fold after he appeared to have been forgotten about when Edouard Mendy was signed.

That’s why Onana is being targeted, and Gazzetta dello Sport don’t hold back when discussing what Chelsea’s intentions are when it comes to the Cameroonian star.

They explain the Blues have ‘put him in the front row’ ahead of the summer transfer window, and have ‘every intention of sinking the shot’ to get him to Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.

Their ideal scenario would be to try and put a player they don’t want in the deal, with Trevoh Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek mentioned, but that doesn’t particularly appeal to Inter, who need cash.

That’s why that for less than the widely mentioned €40m overall evaluation, the Serie A side are ‘not even willing to talk’.

Therefore, Chelsea will have to do what they have become very good at under Todd Boehly, which is spend money.
