Earlier today, we covered reports about bids from West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers for Gedson Fernandes.

Now it’s time to talk about the Premier League sides who are still to make their attempt to sign the Benfica midfielder. These are Everton and Chelsea, according to the Portuguese press.

The Toffees’ name has been mentioned in this saga for a few days now, with the Blues’ interest seeming more recent, as it was first reported by the English media in the middle of this week.

Newspaper O Jogo mentions both clubs today. They say although West Ham have made a bid, both Chelsea and Everton are still to make their offers for Fernandes.

It’s said Chelsea are interested in signing the midfielder on a loan deal until the summer of 2021. Although it had previously been reported by the English media, it’s interesting to see a Portuguese outlet confirming it with their own sources.

Now since it’s claimed that West Ham’s bid for the 20-year-old should be analysed in a meeting today, Chelsea and Everton better hurry up with their chases, or they should end up missing out on him.

Given it’s the same agents who have been offering Fernandes around in England, we believe Blues and Toffees are well aware of how things stand with other clubs.
