Chelsea duo Willian and Pedro are keen on joining Roma this summer, but their high wages make a deal difficult to get done.

The Chelsea forwards are both out of contract in the summer, with their deals at Stamford Bridge expiring at the end of June.

They appear to be set to depart, with Willian having confirmed as much recently and Pedro revealed it is likely he will leave also.

Numerous clubs around Europe are interested in the pair, namely Roma, who have been heavily linked for several weeks.

Gazzetta Dello Sport insist they remain keen, with sporting director Gianluca Petrachi scouring the market for free transfer options as finances at the club will be limited this summer.

Chelsea pair Pedro and Willian have both been ‘proposed’ to the club in light of this, with Pedro having been a target in the January transfer window too.

They are reportedly both keen on the move, but their high wages at Stamford Bridge make a deal difficult to get done at this moment in time.

With the market in its early stages, though, and it still uncertain how COVID-19 will affect things, there is plenty of time for Roma to potentially sort a deal that suits all.
