Barcelona are planning to bolster their attacking division for next season and Inter Milan star Lautaro Martínez has been on their radar for a long time.

According to Sport, the La Liga winners are not the only side after the 22-year-old as Chelsea are also interested in him.

It’s claimed that Barca are aware the Blues ‘have presented an offer’, presumably to both the Nerazzurri and the player, and the Premier League club’s proposal is ‘much better’ than what Quique Setién’s are planning to propose.

Martínez has a release clause of €111m that is valid in the first 15 days of July. Frank Lampard’s side would be ready to pay his asking price in full and in addition to this, they could also offer in excess of €10m net per season in wages.

Chelsea’s approach for Martínez resulted in nervousness at Barcelona a few weeks ago.

However, the Spanish champions now appear to be relaxed as they feel Martínez’s arrival at the club is on the right track.

The newspaper, however, states at the end that, ‘everything is in the hands of the player and the final decision will not take long to arrive.’
