Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera today shares a short update on the future of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
As the outlet writes about Belgium’s campaign at the Euros, they point out that the centre-forward may be signing for a new club this summer.
It’s said Lukaku could join Napoli, as Antonio Conte is called his ‘number one admirer’, and the problem is that the negotiation with Chelsea ‘is not easy’.
The newspaper claims that Chelsea ‘continue to say no’ to a new loan, as they want the player gone for good, and demand over €44m/£35m for his sale.
With the Euros ongoing, Lukaku has something else on his mind, as this could be his final chance to win something for his country.
Then it will be time for the clubs to sit and try to find a deal. Lukaku’s situation at Chelsea continues to drag on summer after summer, with the Blues unable to get a good fee for his sale.
Napoli know about the situation, though, and will surely use that on their side.
