French youngster Jeremie Boga spent the last season on loan at Rennes from Chelsea.
The Premier League giants are keen on sending him on loan again this season, but reports suggested he isn’t going back to Rennes.
A loan move to Vitesse Arnhem was also ruled out, despite Chelsea sending many youngsters to the Dutch club in recent years to develop.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Boga is instead ready to go out on loan to La Liga side Granada. Sporting Gijon and OGC Nice had also shown interest in signing the 19-year-old on loan, but it appears Granada have managed to convince Chelsea.
A loan to La Liga may be more testing, and therefore more beneficial for Boga, than the Eredivisie or Ligue 1.
Boga signed for Chelsea in 2008 from ASPTT Marseille, and is primarily an attacking midfielder, but can also play wide and up front.
