Chelsea are in a ‘head-to-head’ battle with Nice for Inter Milan youngster Cesare Casadei and have ‘come back strongly’ for the midfielder.
That’s according to Sky Italia, who say Nice are about to make an offer that could satisfy Inter’s demands.
Chelsea have been linked with Casadei for the last few weeks, looking to take advantage of the good relationship they’ve built up with the Serie A side to get a deal over the line.
Negotiations over the player have been ongoing, with Inter open to a deal but hoping to include a future purchase option on the player, who they wouldn’t sell in an ideal situation.
Earlier this week we covered a report stating that they were ready to make an official offer for the 19-year-old, with that followed up by further claims they needed to increase their efforts to beat the competition.
Sky now follow that up and state that the ‘head-to-head’ between Chelsea and Nice for the player ‘continues’.
According to them, the Blues have ‘come back strongly’ on Casadei, despite the fact that Nice are about to make an offer with the possibility of a buy-back for Inter.
Sassuolo are also in the background.
There is no mention of a firm bid for Chelsea as yet or anything of that nature, just that it is a two-way battle and they’re very keen on a transfer happening.
