Chelsea are one of the clubs looking at AS Roma’s Leonardo Spinazzola.

The Blues have Ben Chilwell, Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri as the three left-backs in their squad, and an exit is likely this summer.

Both Alonso and Emerson are linked with a move back to Serie A, while Barcelona are also credited with an interest in the Spaniard.

Il Messaggero state Thomas Tuchel’s side ‘would like to sell Emerson’, which is why they have looked at his compatriot, Spinazzola, as his potential successor at Stamford Bridge.

In addition to the Champions League winners, Real Madrid are following the 28-year-old’s situation.

It’s claimed the La Liga side are watching the former Juventus man ‘carefully’ and from the Premier League, Chelsea ‘ask for him’, following the fullback’s fine displays for Italy at Euro 2020, where he was awarded Star of the Match against Turkey and Austria.

José Mourinho, for his part, is ‘waiting’ for the defender at the Italian club, but the report adds Roma are ‘attentive to every type of offer’ they could receive for Spinazzola this summer.
