Chelsea and Manchester United are in the picture to sign Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer.

The Italy international is in his final year of contract and hasn’t accepted the renewal offer proposed by PSG. He’s unlikely to retain the No.1 spot following Lucas Chevalier’s arrival.

This, coupled with his contract situation, makes his future at PSG uncertain and Chelsea and Manchester United could consider signing him.

That’s according to RMC Sport, and they report the Club World Cup winners, and the Red Devils have expressed their interest in the 26-year-old.

It’s further claimed Chelsea and Manchester United have enquired about his situation. The report states they haven’t had formal contact with his entourage, indicating the English clubs approached PSG.

RMC Sport insists that the transfer is ‘far from over’ as there’s only been an expression of interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

The treble winners, for their part, are looking to sell the former AC Milan after his refusal to sign an extension. The player’s entourage insists Donnarumma need an interesting project to change clubs and if not, he will continue at PSG.

Chelsea and Manchester United are in a position to take advantage of his situation at PSG to secure a reasonable deal. Whether they’ll make advances or not needs to be seen.
