There appears to have been a bit of confusion regarding the transfer of Emmanuel Dennis from Nottingham Forest to Basaksehir, as it was stated earlier that he would be travelling to Turkey for his medical.
That is no longer the case, as it appears the player instead undertook his medical in England, as reported by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu on X, formerly Twitter.
He explains that despite him previously stating the striker would be travelling from Nottingham Forest to Istanbul for his health check, he will instead be making the trip on Friday.
It’s recalled that Dennis ‘reached an agreement’ with the Turkish side earlier today, and then added he ‘will be in Istanbul tomorrow’, meaning Friday.
Instead, the player’s medical ‘was carried out’ on these shores, meaning that either Nottingham Forest allowed him to do it at their facility to speed things up, or someone from Basaksehir travelled over to oversee a medical in England.
Either way, the transfer still appears to be on, and Dennis will be leaving City Ground in the very foreseeable future, since the Turkish transfer window closes on Friday.
