According to Sport Express, the chances of Crystal Palace signing CSKA Moscow forward Fedor Chalov before today’s transfer deadline are slim.
Yesterday, we covered claims from Russia that the Premier League side are looking to table a bid in the region of €25m to sign 21 year old but Sport Express report negotiations between the two clubs have stalled.
CSKA recently rejected the Premier League side’s initial offer of €15m. However, it’s reported it’s unlikely Chalov will join Crystal Palace because there’s not enough time left to complete the deal.
Even if Palace agree on a deal with CSKA, the player will need to fly to England to undergo a medical and complete the necessary paperwork.
In addition to this, Sport Express say the work permit situation for Chalov isn’t an easy one, so him signing for the Eagles is highly unlikely at this stage.
The south London club have been hoping to bring in a forward this summer following their problems in attack last season.
