Not today. Not this week, either. Anderson Talisca won’t be moving to Wolverhampton so soon, according to Saturday’s edition of A Bola.
The newspaper says the problems with his work visa continue and he will end up knowing his destination only in the last week of August. That’s despite earlier claims he’d already be a Wolves player.
Talisca’s agent Jorge Mendes would still be looking for other options in case the work permit isn’t granted. The solution for that would be signing for Wolverhampton and then being loaned to some European side.
Now, it’s a big change of view from the Portuguese media. They used to say Talisca would be going to Wolves “in the next few hours”, and then “tomorrow” or “this week”, but things are being postponed for real this time.
We’ve covered all kinds of reports in the past few weeks, including O Jogo saying Wolves were authorised to make the signing and the work visa would be arriving for the player. But it never did, and considering how things are going, it perhaps never will.
