Towards the end of the winter market, Queens Park Rangers allowed Hevertton Santos to join Vitória de Guimarães on a loan deal with an option to buy. In January, several clams from Portugal stated the purchase option had been set at €2m.
The right-back started his spell on a bright note but wasn’t able to extend it until the end of the season. He played 370 minutes from eight games for the Primeira Liga side.
To put it in context, the QPR man has played only two games for Vitória de Guimarães in the last two months. This includes eight minutes against Farense earlier this month and that has been his only appearance since March.
Monday’s edition of O Jogo highlights the Brazilian’s €2m purchase option. They add Vitória de Guimarães won’t be exercising the clause, and the 24-year-old is ‘certain to leave’ them.
Therefore, Hevertton Santos has to return to the Championship club, and they need to make a decision on his future. The fullback joined QPR on a free transfer in 2024 and played nine games in the first half of this season.
